I am working on my MFA in Integrated Design at the University of Baltimore. Last semester, I was tasked with designing a series of book covers for an assignment. Since I love reading, I had a very hard time narrowing down my selection to a single author. Finally, I chose Amy Tan since I have always enjoyed her books and I wanted to create a series of book covers with an “exotic” feel. These covers were inspired by the use of patterns that are so prevalent in Asian art.
